Role of SUA Umpires
SUA umpires are important to the successful operation of each league we contract with. Quite often umpires receive only criticism for their hard work and efforts. SUA values the years of dedication and commitment to the umpire profession that SUA umpires have put forth to improve their game. Umpiring is a difficult task and takes years of schooling, studying rules and procedures, as well as game experience to achieve a high level of integrity and respect. Umpires are on display in front of the fans just as the players and coaches, but are not to be the focus of entertainment in carrying out their duties. Work hard and give the best effort in every game and at every level.
